What kind of City do we want
to live in:

Today's culture of mistrust and
drastic measures because we didn't do it right the first time, |

A strong community based on respect
and mutual cooperation? |

I vote for a strong community!
Here are three immediate actions
I am already taking to build a strong community in Haverhill: |

1. |
|
Change the way that the City plans,
performs, evaluates and audits the services provided to the community: |
|
|
|
|
- Expectations for everyone will
be clear.
- Management will have teeth in
union contracts.
- Managers will be leaders:
- Supportive to help employees
meet their goals,
- Corrective action will be taken
swiftly and decisively to remedy issues.

|
|
2. |
|
Build a strong community for our
children by helping to establish a large mentoring & tutoring
volunteer force. |
|
|
|
|
- Directly address the students
with the most need academically.

3. |
|
Extend the community across the
region and globe to attract emerging and traditional industries
to Haverhill. |
|
|
|
|
- Industries to attract include:
Renewable Energy, Green Tech, Bio-tech & Pharmacueticals,
Robotics, as well as traditional industries in Haverhill, such
as Food Manufacturing.
- This will increase tax base
and provide jobs for all skills including scientific, business
and trades.
- We need 100 new ideas like this
