BREAKING NEWS: Former Council President announces
run for Mayor in '09
Former Haverhill city council
president John Michitson has announced he is running for mayor
in 2009. Michitson, who is a Valley Patriot contributor as co-author
of our Innovation Valley
series issued a press release today saying he vows to bring professional
leadership to Haverhill and improve the school district's performance.
Michitson is a manager and electrical engineer at the MITRE Corporation
in Bedford. The Innovation Valley initiative seeks to help stimulate
economic growth and quality-of-life enhancements in the Merrimack
Valley. Every month IV reports on innovative businesses, practices,
and ideas that are helping to make Merrimack Valley the place
to be.
